How TunedBooks automates your bookkeeping so you can focus on selling
TunedBooks connects to Shopify, eBay, Vinted and Chowdeck and pulls your sales in automatically. Every order becomes a transaction record, every transaction feeds into your profit calculation, and invoices generate in two taps. No spreadsheets, no double entry, no end-of-day reconstruction from memory.

The admin problem most business owners ignore
You did not start a business to type numbers into a spreadsheet at midnight. But that is what happens when your sales come from three different places and none of them talk to each other.
A Shopify order arrives. An eBay sale closes. A walk-in customer pays cash at the counter. A Chowdeck delivery goes out. By the end of the day you have revenue sitting in four different systems, and the only way to know what you actually earned is to open each one, copy the numbers, paste them somewhere, and hope you did not miss anything.
Most business owners do not do this every day. They do it once a week, or once a month, or never. And then they wonder why the shop is busy but the bank account is empty.
That gap between "I am selling" and "I know what I made" is the administrative headache TunedBooks was built to eliminate.
Marketplace automation: sales arrive without you typing them
TunedBooks connects directly to the platforms where you sell and pulls your orders in as they happen. No export, no copy-paste, no end-of-day data entry.
Shopify
Connect your Shopify store from Settings, and every new order appears in TunedBooks automatically. The product name, quantity, price, customer name, and fees all come through. Your Shopify products sync to your Products tab. TunedBooks is listed on the official Shopify App Store -search "TunedBooks" and install directly from there.
eBay
Connect your eBay account with one tap. TunedBooks receives order notifications in real time via eBay's webhook system. When something sells, the order details, buyer info, item price, and eBay fees all land in your records within seconds. You can also pull historical orders going back up to 365 days, so your existing sales history comes in on day one.
Chowdeck
If you run a restaurant, pharmacy, grocery store, or any other vendor type on Chowdeck, connect your merchant account and orders flow in as they are confirmed. Menu items sync to your product list. Stock levels update on every order. Delivery fees are paid by the customer and are not recorded as your expense -TunedBooks handles that distinction automatically.
Vinted
Vinted does not offer an API, so TunedBooks uses a different approach. Request your data export from Vinted, download the ZIP file, and import the HTML file into TunedBooks. The app parses your orders, separates sales from purchases, calculates amounts, and creates transaction records. Not as automatic as Shopify or eBay, but it turns an afternoon of manual data entry into a two-minute import.
Everything else
Sell on Depop, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, Amazon, or any other platform? Export a CSV file from that platform and import it into TunedBooks. The app auto-detects columns for date, amount, description, and fees. One import, and those sales sit alongside your Shopify and eBay records in the same profit report.
Selling on multiple platforms should not mean multiple spreadsheets.
Connect your stores and see everything in one place.
Offline sales: record now, sync later
Not every sale comes from the internet. Walk-in customers, market stalls, pop-up shops -these happen face to face, often in places where data is patchy or nonexistent.
TunedBooks records every in-person sale on your phone, with or without internet. Tap the product, confirm the amount, done. The transaction is stored locally in under ten seconds. When you are back online, everything syncs to the cloud automatically. You never lose a sale because your connection dropped.
Till Mode turns your phone into a POS terminal. Products display as tiles, you tap to add to cart, take payment, and the receipt generates instantly. It works the same whether you are in a shop with full WiFi or at an outdoor market with no signal at all.
Automatic profit calculation
This is the number most business owners do not know, and it is the one that matters most. Revenue is not profit. Busy is not profitable.
TunedBooks calculates your profit automatically: revenue minus expenses minus cost of goods sold. The result shows on the dashboard by day, week, and month. Every sale you record, every expense you log, every cost of goods entry you make feeds directly into that number in real time.
You do not need to build a formula. You do not need to remember which column to subtract. You open the app and the number is there, current to the minute.
The difference between a business that grows and one that slowly dies is whether the owner sees their real profit number every single day -not once a month, not at tax time.
Invoices that write themselves
TunedBooks gives you two ways to invoice, and both eliminate manual work.
The first is instant: you have already recorded a sale, and now the customer wants an invoice. Open the transaction, tap Share, and TunedBooks generates a professional PDF with your logo, business details, line items, VAT breakdown, and a footer message. Send it by WhatsApp or email. No retyping.
The second is the standalone Invoice Maker for bills you need to send before payment arrives -quotes, service invoices, net-30 terms. Add line items, set a due date, share the PDF. When the client pays, tap Mark as Paid. TunedBooks records the income automatically. The invoice and the transaction are connected -you never enter the same amount twice.
Inventory that updates on every sale
Every sale reduces stock. Every marketplace order that syncs in reduces stock. You do not need to count manually or reconcile at the end of the day.
When a Shopify order comes in, the product's stock count in TunedBooks drops. When you sell the same item at the counter via Till Mode, it drops again. One inventory count, accurate across all channels, updated in real time.
Set low-stock alerts and TunedBooks tells you before something runs out, not after a customer asks for it and you have to say no.
What you stop doing manually
| Before TunedBooks | After TunedBooks |
|---|---|
| Open Shopify, eBay, Chowdeck, check each dashboard, copy numbers into Excel | All sales appear automatically in one app |
| Reconstruct the day's cash sales from memory at midnight | Each sale recorded in 10 seconds at the point of sale, offline |
| Guess whether you made profit this week | Profit calculated automatically, visible on the dashboard |
| Retype transaction details into an invoice template | Tap Share on any transaction -invoice generates instantly |
| Count stock manually across channels | Inventory updates on every sale from every channel |
| Lose sales data when your phone has no signal | Works fully offline, syncs when back online |
| Chase invoices with no idea what is outstanding | Invoice status tracked: Draft, Sent, Paid |
None of these are features you need to learn or configure. They happen because TunedBooks is built to treat a sale as the starting point for everything else -the record, the profit calculation, the stock update, the invoice -instead of making you do each one separately.
The admin work you do at midnight is the work TunedBooks already did.

Frequently asked questions
Can TunedBooks replace my accountant?
TunedBooks handles day-to-day bookkeeping: recording sales, tracking expenses, calculating profit, and generating invoices and receipts. It does not replace professional tax advice, but it gives your accountant clean, organised records instead of a shoebox of receipts.
What happens if I sell on a platform TunedBooks does not connect to?
Use the CSV import feature. Export your sales from any platform -Depop, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, Amazon -and import the CSV file into TunedBooks. The app auto-detects columns for date, amount, description, and fees.
Does the automation work without internet?
In-store sales are recorded offline and sync when you are back online. Marketplace syncs from Shopify, eBay, and Chowdeck require an internet connection because they arrive via webhooks, but once received, everything is stored locally.
How does TunedBooks calculate my profit?
TunedBooks calculates profit as revenue minus expenses minus cost of goods sold. It shows the result by day, week, and month on the dashboard. Every sale, expense, and cost entry feeds directly into the calculation in real time.
Is TunedBooks free?
Yes. The free plan includes 20 transactions per month with no card required. Paid plans start at $4.99 per month for unlimited transactions and additional features.
